DESCRIPTION:
Inositol, also known as "vitamin B8", was first isolated in the 19th century. Its biologically active form is myo-inositol, found in plant and animal organisms. In the human body, it is synthesised mainly in the brain, liver and kidneys, and is also supplied through food. It is stored in the central nervous system, heart muscle cells and skeletal muscles, as well as in bones and gonads.
