DESCRIPTION:

Fresh and sweet, Virginian Cedarwood is actually derived from a tree in the Cupressaceous family. The bark of the tree, grown in the USA and Canada, is steam distilled to release a fresh, woody essential oil. Cedarwood has been used for many years, with Native Americans stripping bark from the trunk to make many items, from household goods to totem poles, while modern-day manufacturers have used it to make bespoke furniture. In aromatherapy practice, Cedarwood Virginian is used in massage blends to improve circulation, ease muscular aches and flush toxins from the body. It also has natural antibacterial and disinfectant properties and is often used in preparations for oily or blemish-prone skin. Like Cedarwood Atlas, this oil can also be used in steam inhalation or in a diffuser as a decongestant when suffering from cold and flu symptoms.

100% Juniperus virginiana (cedarwood) wood oil

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

In a vaporiser: add 6 to 8 drops of essential oil to a vaporiser or burner. Inhalation: add 3 to 5 drops of essential oil to a bowl of very hot water, inhale the vapours for 5 to 10 minutes. (Inhalation only for children over 10 years of age.) For massage: dilute 5 drops of essential oil with 10 ml of a carrier oil, such as almond or jojoba oil. Bath: add 4 to 6 drops of essential oil to 20 ml of carrier oil. Mix into the water.

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not apply directly to the skin.
