DESCRIPTION:

Steam distillation of the leaves releases a uniquely sweet, citrusy oil that is perfect for mood-stabilising and nerve-soothing preparations. A huge quantity of leaves is needed to produce even the smallest amount of essential oil, which is why it is best used in aromatherapy blends. Used in a diffuser, Melissa will help ease anxiety.

INGREDIENTS:

100% Melissa officinalis leaf oil.

Naturally occurring allergens: Citral, Citronellol, Eugenol, Farnesol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

In a vaporiser: add 6 to 8 drops of essential oil to a vaporiser or burner.

Inhalation: add 3 to 5 drops of essential oil to a bowl of very hot water, inhale the vapours for 5 to 10 minutes. (Inhalation only for children over 10 years of age.)

For massage: dilute 5 drops of essential oil with 10 ml of a carrier oil such as almond or jojoba oil.

Bath: add 4 to 6 drops of essential oil to 20 ml of carrier oil. Mix into the water.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not apply directly to the skin. Not for children under 5 years of age. Consult a doctor before using essential oils during pregnancy.

Store in a cool, dry place out of reach of small children.
