DESCRIPTION:

Coenzyme Q10 It is a fundamental component of the respiratory chain, actively participating in the transfer of protons and electrons. Once we pass the age of 35, its insufficient amount in the body starts to become noticeable, which is why supplementation becomes necessary. Coenzyme Q10 can occur in two forms – oxidised (UBIQUINONE) and reduced (UBIQUINOL).

Coenzyme Q10 is a product derived from the extraction of fermented yeast, has no cis form and is structurally identical to that produced by the human body. Only 4%-6% of the Coenzyme Q10 currently sold worldwide comes from a natural fermentation process, which is why it is significantly more expensive than that obtained synthetically.

Coenzyme Q10 is a “super fuel” for our body. It provides the energy essential for the survival of every cell and tissue.

It is present in every part of the body, specifically in the mitochondria, where energy is produced. Its highest concentration, however, is found in the cells of the heart muscle. The heart is the hardest-working organ in our body, so it needs a great deal of energy to keep up with its constant work. The human body is capable of producing coenzyme Q10 on its own, but not always in amounts sufficient for proper functioning.

Over the years, the body's ability to produce and maintain a proper level of it declines. Therefore, after the age of 30, supplementation with coenzyme Q10 becomes necessary.

Coenzyme Q10 provides around 95% of the total energy of the human body. 94% of the coenzyme Q10 products available on the market are in synthetic form, making them cheaper and less valuable.

Coenzyme Q10 dissolves in fats, so if it is in powder form it should be taken during or right after meals, or dissolved in a spoonful of olive oil. Ubiquinol, on the other hand, is enclosed in a special fat-based capsule, ready for consumption with no special conditions required.

If you take statins, you should start using Ubiquinol immediately. This is necessary because statins lower cholesterol levels, which the body needs in order to produce CoQ10.

The Japanese company Kaneka is the world's first producer of natural ubiquinol.
