Ostrovit D3 4000 IU + K2 VEGE combines two fat-soluble vitamins, vitamin D3 and vitamin K2, in one and the same tablet. Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system, the maintenance of normal bones, the maintenance of normal muscle function and normal absorption/utilisation of calcium and phosphorus. Vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting and the maintenance of normal bones.

The formula contains natural vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) from Icelandic lichen — which makes it fully plant-based — together with menaquinone-7 (MK-7), a highly bioavailable form of vitamin K2 derived from Bacillus subtilis natto. This combination makes Ostrovit D3 4000 IU + K2 VEGE a suitable choice for vegans and vegetarians looking for both nutrients in one and the same product.

Each tablet provides 100 µg (4000 IU) of vitamin D3 and 100 µg of vitamin K2 MK-7, with flexible dosing: adults under 75 can take half a tablet daily, while adults over 75 can take a whole tablet. As with any vitamin D supplementation at this level, it is recommended to consult a healthcare professional before use.

Ingredients

Bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose; starch, natural vitamin D from Icelandic lichen (cholecalciferol), menaquinone-7 MK-7 (vitamin K) from Bacillus subtilis natto, anticaking agents: magnesium salts of fatty acids, silicon dioxide.

Usage & Dosage

Healthy adults under 75: ½ tablet daily. Healthy adults over 75: 1 tablet daily. It is recommended to have a 25-(OH)D blood test done and to consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.

Warnings

Do not exceed recommended dose. Do not use the product as a substitute for a varied diet. A balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are recommended. Do not take if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. The product should not be used by children, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, or people taking anticoagulants containing vitamin K antagonists (e.g. warfarin and acenocoumarol). Keep out of reach of children.
