How an order travels: from your shop to your customer's door

One order, five steps, and no warehouse of your own. Here is what happens between the moment your customer pays you and the moment the parcel arrives.

A cardboard box being sealed with tape before dispatch.

1. Your shop carries our catalogue

You import our feed into your shop. It carries the products, the texts, the images, the weight, the price you pay and the stock figure, and you decide which of them you list and what you sell them for.

An EAN that is not in your feed cannot be ordered at all, so the feed is also the list of what you may sell.

2. You send us the order

Three ways, and they are equal: by hand under Orders, by uploading a CSV, or through the Order API. You do not need the API — it exists for shops that want orders to flow automatically.

Test mode works before you have a plan and before you have a balance, so you can build and check an integration without spending anything.

3. We check it before we take anything

The order is checked while you wait: the product exists and may be sold, the stock covers the quantity, the destination country is allowed for every line, and your prepaid balance covers the goods and the shipping fee.

An order that costs more than you have is stopped before it is created, and we email you how much is short. Nothing is charged for a stopped order.

Orders are paid from a prepaid balance you top up in the portal. There is no credit, and the balance never goes below zero.

4. The parcel goes out neutral

A neutral sender: no Dropply branding on the parcel or the delivery note, and nothing pointing to the wholesaler the goods were bought from. Your customer sees your sale, not our chain.

The whole order ships complete. If a line cannot be supplied the order is rejected, so that you can split it yourself rather than discover half a delivery.

5. The tracking number comes back to you

The tracking number appears on your order under Orders as soon as the warehouse has handed the parcel over, and we email it to you at the same time. Until the parcel leaves there is no tracking number to show.

Delivery takes 5–8 working days. Those are estimates, not guarantees — the terms say so in plain words, and so do we.

If we cannot deliver an order at all, we cancel it and return the amount to your balance.
